International Development Drinks - June 2013
Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
Because we don't want our guests paying service fees, a cover donation of $4.00 will be asked at the door. Please bring cash. Proceeds go towards BCCIC, CoDev & EWB for improving this quarterly event.
Making Connections Happen
The British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) and CoDevelopment Canada (CoDev) invite you to International Development Drinks at the Blarneystone Pub in the heart of Gastown.
This evening will provide an opportunity to connect with development NGOs that are operating in Vancouver. Other attendees include returned overseas volunteers, graduate students, professors, and social entrepreneurs. Join us for a night of socializing and sharing.
Provoking Questions in the Development Sector
This time around, we're cautiously wading into the waters of some issues within the development sector that draw on many different opinions, experiences and perspectives. Our sector has much in common but there are also issues that we come at from different angles.
For this event, We invite you to come with an open mind and a respectful approach to discuss some of the questions being debated today.
For this kind of dialogue to be meaningful we need a range of people involved in development. Whether you're new to the sector or have been at it for a few decades, and regardless of where you sit on the spectrum of approaches to development, please come and share your experiences and questions!
